Fish Stories....

So a couple of days ago I was invited to join a game called 'Fish survivor II - Davis". What this entails is my friend Alison procuring several feeder goldfish (@ 10cents per fish!!) and releasing them into her fish tank. Each participant selects a fish, names it, and follows its progress throughout the days or minutes to follow. This is actually a great boon for the fish...as I have now witnessed the tanks of feeder fish and they are not a friendly place...and the alternative is being selected to be fed to a turtle or something...so really...beling selected for the reality experiment Fish Survivor is really a stroke of good luck!

I did receive some bad news today though...my fish, Charlie (named for Mr. Chaplin because he had this cute little moustache-like marking above his mouth) passed away yesterday. As Alison put it though..."In the brief 12 hours that Charlie was in my life, my tank was fuller..."

Here is a pic of Charlie - you can sort of see the moustache...now that I look at this picture though...I see he looks tired...he just wasn't up to the challenge...poor guy...sleep well my friend...

The remaining fish and their respective owners are:
Rex (Kevin)
Spot (Alison)
Smudge (Aaron)
Ink (Jenna)
Princess (Kelli)
and probably a few more I don't know the names of....

This is Rex (named for Kev's car - the WRX - I dunno...he looked speedy) I've got my money on him now...

Testing the waters...

Zombies attack! James, Meagh'n, Becky, Heather, myself, Karen, Nancy, Treena (Mark missing).
Well, since it's the trendy thing to do...and I do like being trendy....I think I have finally been convinced to join the blogger commune...not sure how sucessful it will be, but I'll give it a shot! I just returned from a quick weekend visit to Toronto, more specifically, cottage country. Turns out there is quite the cottage industry there! I had been to the family cottage (built in 1957!) a few times prior, but the most recent was 1991, so it was time for another visit. The big event was Cousine Weekend 2005 - with folks coming from Vancouver, Ottawa, Brazil, and even Japan...We had a great time hanging out and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

Me having fun!
